Virgin Media is a British telecommunications company which provides telephone, television and internet services in the United Kingdom.

Challenges

The Challenger programme aimed to build a new technology stack and use best practise agile processes to achieve fast, step-change digital delivery. Launching a new unnamed broadband product was the first project within Challenger but was already late to market.

Task

Engaged as the Technical Delivery Manager to help embed agile ways of working and launch a new customer facing microsite for the new unnamed broadband product.

Actions

• Led all scrum ceremonies and embedded agile ways of working by coaching both internal staff and external international dev partners 
• Managed a squad of product owners, BAs, solution designers, devs, testers and system integrators across web and mobile using a new micro services API driven Angular platform 

Results

• Successfully created the template for the new microsite in time for the eventual product reveal and launch. 
• Project team members successfully adopted agile into their respective practices
